How to apply
Six steps, in order.
- Open jeemain.nta.nic.in and choose the Session 1 application link. Apply only there; the NTA accepts no other mode.
- Register with your own (or a parent’s) email address and mobile number. Every message from the NTA goes to these.
- Fill in the form: personal details, Class 12 details, the paper (Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech.) and your choice of exam cities.
- Upload the photograph, signature and documents the information bulletin asks for, in the sizes it states.
- Pay the fee online before the last date, and keep the confirmation page.
- Submit only one application. The NTA says candidates who fill in more than one face action even at a later stage.
The paper
Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), unchanged.
| Subject | Section A · MCQ | Section B · numerical |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | 20 | 5 |
| Physics | 20 | 5 |
| Chemistry | 20 | 5 |
| Total | 75 questions · 300 marks · 3 hours · +4 / −1 | |
The weeks that are left
About twelve weeks to Session 1.
From registration to 20 January there is roughly a quarter of a year. Spend it on full papers under time, not new chapters: one full mock a week rising to two in the last month, each reviewed the same day, and the chapters it exposes practised before the next. Nikaalle builds that plan for you from your exam date, free.
